Ethan SFH was the reserve champion colt at his Hanoverian inspection last summer, earning praise for his excellent type, conformation and movement. As Ludwig Christmann of the Hanoverian Verband placed the brand on his left hip he said the word "stallion." Ethan is the fourth colt from a highly successful cross. Full brother Edison is licensed for breeding with RPSI and at only age six will show at Third and Fourth levels with Jim Koford in 2009. Brother Ellington possesses an ideal temperament for learning and exhibits athletic versatility: freejumping appears effortless and shoulder-in and half pass come easily. The third brother, Emerson SFH, is being raised as a stallion prospect and was sold to a hunter/jumper operation in Bermuda. From a cross with proven rideability, Ethan offers top potential for hunters or dressage.
Ethan’s sire, Escudo I, is ranked No. 10 on the on the German Hanoverian Verband’s top list of jumper sires in the 2008 Hannoveraner Jahrbuch Hengste and is No.5 on the 2008 United States Equestrian Federation Leading Hunter Sires list. He is known in U.S. hunter circles by the fine results of such imported offspring as Cool Blue, Centerpiece, Starring Role, Be Cool and Exupery. Escudo I won his Stallion Performance Test and the German Hanoverian Champion Six-Year-Old Jumper title. Of his 15 Hanoverian-licensed sons, Earl and El Bundy won their Stallion Performance Tests, placing second in dressage and third and first respectively in jumping, confirming Escudo’s ability to sire versatility.
Ethan’s dam, EM Wieta, was the fourth-highest scoring mare (7.84) on the 2001 AHS inspection tour, receiving 8s on her gaits, head, neck, frame, foreleg, conformation and overall impression and development. For typiness and femininity she earned a 9. A year later she was Champion of her Mare Performance Test earning an 8 for rideability. She ranked third in the standings for the Hartwig prize awarded by the American Hanoverian Society to “The Best Young Mare Bred in North America” based on inspection and Mare Performance Test scores. Wieta is our top-producing broodmare. To date, seven of her eight foals have been named champion or reserve champion of their Hanoverian foal inspections. Wieta carries the influential blood of Weltmeyer through her sire Wolkenstein II as well as the refining blood of Lauries Crusador xx and the jumping blood of Wanderer on her damside.

Registered name: Arwyn Registration number: 840 023 0347264 03 Date of birth: 02/24/03 Sex: Mare Color: chestnut Height: 16.0 Sire: Alabaster Dam: Weltdancer Damsire: Wolkentanz I Dam's dam: Closet Dancer xx Dam's dam's sire: Noble Dancer xx Dam Dam's dam: Alone xx
Arwyn has three very good gaits; her freedom in the shoulder and power from her hindquarters make her well suited for dressage. Her walk swings with a nice overtrack, her trot is elastic, and her canter is rhythmic and comfortable. She is light in the bridle and doing solid training level work. Lateral work and lengthenings have been started. Arwyn is sensitive and is still developing confidence, traits that make her best suited for a confident talented rider who can devote 4-5 days a week to riding. An ambitious amateur with a good trainer is likely to consider Arwyn an appealing partner.
Arwyn descends from very nice dressage bloodlines. Damsire Wolkentanz by Weltmeyer was German National Champion Riding Horse Champion as a three year old and Reserve Champion of his Stallion Performance Test where he scored 8s for character and disposition, 8.63 for rideability, 7.5 for walk, 9.84 for trot and 8.84 for canter. Ellington Date of birth: 03/15/2004 Sex: Gelding
Color: Black Height: 16.0 ½ Sire: Escudo I Dam: EM Wieta Damsire: Wolkenstein II Dam's dam: Lilith Dam's dam's sire: Lauries Crusador xx Dam Dam's dam: Wimbli (by Wanderer)
This really special horse has everything going for him: very nice gaits, an effortless jump, super disposition, elasticity, excellent conformation, and—everything is VERY easy for him. He has not disappointed since receiving these accolades from Judy Ehlers (former president of the American Hanoverian Society and internationally respected breeder) and Heinrich Heemke, a well respected breeder in Germany and member of the Hanoverian Verband’s judging commission: "He shows just about everything we want to see in movement. He moves well from behind, stepping up underneath himself and he lifts the front end. He shows cadence and rhythm with good impulsion and elasticity.”
Ellington's under saddle training is progressing very well and highlights include his elasticity, balance and ability to elevate his front end. His gaits and beautiful outline turn heads wherever he goes. He is currently schooling shoulder-in and lengthenings and is beginning counter canter. We have been careful in his training so that he can be developed for hunters or dressage. While that might seem contradictory, he truly could be very successful at either discipline. His elasticity, athleticism and correct classical training will impress dressage enthusiasts, and his floating rhythmic gaits and effortless jump in classic form will excite A-circuit hunter riders. From day one his trips through the freejumping chute have been straight down the middle with a scopy jump in picture-perfect form. Ellington has been jumped lightly under saddle and is a natural at quietly finding his own spot to the jump.
Ellington’s older full brother, Edison, competed in dressage with professional Jim Koford and is now showing hunters with Tommy Serio. Another full brother Emerson is winning jumper classes in Bermuda and is being kept a stallion.
A half-sister by Rotspon became an Elite Mare Candidate in 2009 after scoring 7.66 on inspection and an 8 for rideability at her Mare Performance Test.
Information on Ellington's sire and dam can be found under the sales listing for his full brother Ethan.

Height: 16.2 Sire: Wolkenstein II Dam: Bajan Breeze xx
Damsire: Tumble Wind xx Dam's dam: Cristalga xx Dam's dam's sire: High Top xx Dam Dam's dam: Coralivia

She met all the requirements for obtaining her States Premium mare title except for producing a foal. Wolkendame was being pointed toward the Bundeschampionat before she was imported as a three-year-old.
At Dressage at Devon in 2000, Wolkendame won her class, the Filly Championship and the Bari von Buedingen perpetual trophy, which is awarded to Devon’s highest scoring Hanoverian. We enjoyed riding her magnificent gaits for several years before breeding her to Metternich in order to fulfill the requirements for her Elite Mare title. That first foal is winning classes as a show hunter in Bermuda with her teenage amateur owner. Her second foal has been super easy to start and also has an amateur-friendly temperament. Her next two foals by Londonderry exhibited stunning movement and sold as weanlings.
Wolkendame has impressive performance credentials and is an excellent mother, always foaling without complications and raising her offspring with care but never possessive hovering. She has always shown obvious signs of heat and is perfectly behaved (the vet’s favorite!) for ultrasounds and inseminations. We have raised four frozen semen foals from her.
Her sire, Wolkenstein II, is a highly regarded son of Weltmeyer. He was Champion of his Stallion Performance Test as well as the 1993 Federal Champion Three-Year-Old Riding Horse. Wolkenstein II is also acclaimed as a broodmare sire. He has excellent breeding values for type, foundation, dressage, trot, canter and rideability. Wolkenstein II consistently ranks in the Top 20 for dressage and type on the list of Leading Sires in the annual Jahrbuch Hengste. He has sired 46 licensed stallion sons, 156 States Premium daughters, and 121 Verden auction horses. Wolkendame’s damsire, Tumble Wind xx, sold for $100,000 in 1966 and was best known in Denmark as the sire of the stallion Temple Wind who was approved by several registries.
