Owners Dr. Steve and Bettie Carroll share a passion for horses. Steve is an equine veterinarian with a special interest in reproduction, and Bettie has prepared and shown many of the farm’s offspring to USDF breed show and AHS inspection championships.
Both are active in the American Hanoverian Society and have completed the Hanoverian Verband’s breeders course in Germany. Steve has been elected to the AHS Board of Directors since 1993 and has served on the Finance, Breeding Technology, and Corporate Regulations and Grievances committees as well as the Editorial Advisory Board. Bettie has served in various capacities including Stallion Book Editor, and most recently, organizer of the 2007 AHS Annual Meeting and Young Horse Training Symposium with USEF Young Horse Dressage Coach Scott Hassler.
Daughter Marion made her solo show debut at Dressage at Lexington in 2008 with Sullivan Farm-bred Rosita (Rotspon-EM Wieta/Wolkenstein II) whom she showed to first-place finishes in the Three-Year-old Fillies class and the North Carolina Warmblood Breeders class. Later in the summer Marion presented Rosita at her American Hanoverian Society mare inspection where she scored a 7.66.
